About

I’m a 36 yr old female, married to a super guy who has really proven the “super” part these last couple of years (not that I ever doubted it)!  I love to read, write, and explore other worlds through movies and TV.  I’m a huge fan of Supernatural, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who… I could kinda go on forever.

I started this blog primarily so I could explore and work through some issues surrounding a violent sexual assault and a somewhat recent diagnosis of IBD and the rollercoaster ride that has been the last 2 years.  My first post https://preciousthings.me/2014/04/01/challenge-accepted/   touches on these things briefly and I plan to delve much deeper into these as time goes by.  But I’d also like to post about the good stuff too, so you should probably expect some random fandom post or link once in a while, too!

I’d like to keep this blog fairly anonymous for the time being, so I won’t be posting any real names, facebook or twitter accounts right now.  I’m totally new at this and a bit nervous about it, so bear with me and hopefully it’ll be a great experience!  Thanks for checking out my page!

Your blog is amazing! I hope you get the older replies I made on the earlier posts….very sorry about your IBD, and your rape…but the way you tell it all and your bravery in telling it and living it…I am so glad I just took the time and read it and got to know you. The whole you….that is in every post. There are so many great parts, I mean I loved it all, the music, just everything, but I do not know that I have ever heard anyone use the Spoon Theory with PTSD…I thought that was brilliant, and so true! Just loved this and you.

I was so excited to see all your comments. When I started blogging I really hoped to be able to meet and connect to new people and I was wonderful to know that I was being “seen!” I so appreciate knowing you’ve read it all and seeing every wonderful thing you shared in your responses. Looking foward to “seeing” you more!

Oh good! I wanted to comment more but did not want you to think this weird girl is reading my whole blog. Lol. But it was really that good and so I did. You definitely will keep seeing me 🙂

No way! I love that you read the whole thing! Sometimes it takes me forever, but when I stumble on to a blog I want to follow, I like to try to go back and read the whole thing. It’s like reading a book for me and really getting to know a person. You will keep seeing me as well!

It is like reading a book, especially the good ones. Yours just flowed and was wonderful. 🙂
